Facilities

Haryana is an emerging state with tremendous growth in industry and agriculture in India. Owing to the proximity with the Capital it has seen rapid industrialization. This growth has brought issues of environmental management to the paramount concern particularly due to inadequate environmental infrastructure like common effluent treatment plants and common hazardous waste management facilities. Gradually shrinking resources combined with mounting waste disposal problems are causing detrimental effect on environment which in turn affects public health.

Some of the emerging environmental issues are:

Depletion of natural resources,
Disposal of liquid effluent and solid waste with limited treatment facilities.
Dumping of these solid wastes and effluents on open land and in surface water streams.
Industrial and auto exhaust emission in the ambient air affecting human health.
Lack of consciousness about environment, health and safety in the local population and industries.
